FDA RECALL: MG217 Eczema Cream for Bacterial Contamination

One lot found contaminated with Staphylococcus aureus; sold nationwide

FDA RECALL:  Pharmacal has recalled one lot of its MG217 Multi-symptom Treatment Cream & Skin Protectant Eczema Cream after testing found contamination with Staphylococcus aureus. The recall, announced May 8 and posted by the FDA on May 12, affects 6‑ounce tubes from lot 1024088, expiring November 2026.

The product was distributed nationwide through wholesalers, HE BUTT Grocery, and online retailers including Amazon. No adverse events have been reported. The company warns that contaminated product may cause infections ranging from mild to severe, especially in people with weakened immune systems or compromised skin.
