Arrest Made After June 11 Myrtle Beach Shooting

Victim hospitalized in critical condition; investigation remains active

Horry County, NC — The Horry County Police Department has arrested a Myrtle Beach man following a shooting that occurred late Tuesday night on Peachtree Road.

Officers were dispatched to the area at approximately 11:00 p.m. on June 11 after receiving reports of a shooting. Responding units secured the scene and began an investigation. Police say the suspect remained on scene and cooperated with officers.

According to investigators, the victim and the suspect are related.

During an interview with officers, the suspect stated the shooting did not stem from an argument or physical altercation. The victim was transported to the hospital with critical injuries.

As a result of the investigation, Michael Seth Hall has been charged with Assault and Battery of a High and Aggravated Nature and Possession of a Weapon During a Violent Crime. Detectives say additional charges may be filed as the case develops.

The investigation remains ongoing.

All individuals named in this report are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. Charges and case statuses may change as investigations and court proceedings continue.
