Want to help pets in the community, but cannot adopt? Got some free time? volunteer! Volunteer groups and individuals can help shelter staff with cleaning, pet enrichment, photos and more. Many shelters welcome cleaning supplies, pet food, treats, toys and flat sheets etc. Ask them about their wish list. Contact a shelter near you to inquire.
This page is updated weekly – call the shelter ahead of time to see if the featured orphans are still available or just go look anyways – one will choose you!

Some of the most amazing dogs at our shelter have been patiently waiting for their perfect match—and we know their happily ever after is out there! 
This month, we’re giving our long-timers a little extra spotlight because they deserve every chance to find the loving family they’ve been dreaming of.
Throughout August, any dog who has been in our care for more than 30 days can be adopted for just $35!
These incredible pups are already experts at giving unconditional love, making you smile, and becoming loyal best friends. All they’re missing is a place to call home.

Looking for a compact little bestie with maximum personality? Ada would like to submit her application.
Ada is roughly 3–4 years old, short, compact, and built like a little furry tank with a curly pig tail.
Ada has two speeds: ZOOM and POTATO
One minute she’s hitting the yard with the zoomies like she just remembered she left the stove on and the next she’s hunkered down in front of you.
And if you’ve ever wanted your own personal shadow, congratulations! Ada will happily follow you around being short, adorable, slightly nosy, and completely convinced that whatever you’re doing involves her.
