Students at Waccamaw School, located at 5901 Waccamaw School Rd NW in Ash, were recognized this week for completing the D.A.R.E. program, a milestone celebrated by the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office as part of its ongoing effort to strengthen relationships between youth and law enforcement.
Deputy Stout Leads the Program
Deputy A. Stout, the School Resource Officer assigned to Waccamaw, taught this year’s D.A.R.E. curriculum. The Sheriff’s Office noted that Stout “truly loved teaching the program” and expressed pride in the students’ hard work, participation, and growth throughout the course. His involvement continues a long-standing partnership between the school and the Sheriff’s Office.
