URGENT PUBLIC SAFETY ALERT: SEARCH CONTINUES FOR FUGITIVE IN TABOR CITY

TABOR CITY, NC — Law enforcement agencies are continuing an active search for Christopher O’Neil Strickland, a fugitive wanted on multiple felony warrants, including assault on a law enforcement officer.

The Tabor City Police Department, working in coordination with the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office, has been pursuing Strickland in the Tabor City area since Sunday.

Authorities confirmed that Strickland has not yet been located, and search operations have resumed.

44 years old white male, six foot tall ~175 pounds with brown hair, blue eyes and
pierced ears. It has been said, he now has blond hair. Could be driving a stolen blue S-10 extended cab.

 

 

 

Residents who live on or near Stake Road are urged to take immediate precautions:

  • Secure all doors, windows, vehicles, and outbuildings
  • Avoid unnecessary travel in the area until further notice
  • Remain alert and report any suspicious activity

Strickland is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone who sees him or has information about his whereabouts should not approach and should contact law enforcement immediately.
