Christopher Strickland is in custody after a two‑day search conducted by the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office in coordination with the Tabor City Police Department
TABOR CITY, NC — Deputies with the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office Heavy Enforcement Action Team (H.E.A.T.) located and apprehended Strickland, who had been wanted by Tabor City Police and was considered armed and dangerous.
Authorities said the case raised significant safety concerns for residents in Tabor City and the surrounding area.
Deputies and specialized units spent extensive hours tracking Strickland before bringing the search to a safe conclusion. Sheriff’s Office officials noted that the outcome reflects the agency’s continued focus on community protection.
