Helping residents navigate exemptions, appeals, listings, and delinquent tax questions across four county locations this April and May.
Brunswick County, NC — The Brunswick County Tax Office is rolling out a series of free taxpayer outreach events this spring, giving property owners a chance to get one‑on‑one assistance with county tax matters. Staff will be available to help residents file paperwork, understand eligibility for property tax exemption programs for elderly, disabled, and disabled veteran homeowners, review appeal periods, list personal or business property, and address delinquent collections.
Upcoming outreach dates include:
Tuesday, April 21, 2026 – 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Leland Library
Friday, April 24, 2026 – 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Brunswick County Government Center in Bolivia
Wednesday, April 29, 2026 – 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.at the Southwest Brunswick Branch Library in Carolina Shores
Friday, May 1, 2026 – 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Barbee Library in Oak Island
These sessions are designed to make county tax services more accessible by bringing staff directly into local communities. Officials note that the events focus solely on Brunswick County property tax services and does not include assistance with state or federal income tax returns.
