FDA warns consumers not to use two recalled lots after 18 illnesses reported in 14 states, North Carolina included.
Federal and state health officials are investigating a Salmonella Typhimurium outbreak linked to MOGO-brand Pure Moringa Oleifera capsules. Eighteen illnesses have been reported across 14 states, with onset dates from February 3 to April 7, 2026. Seven people have been hospitalized; no deaths have been reported.

The recalled product was sold online through Amazon, eBay, and mogomoringa.com. Affected lots include:
• Lot #15525AA, EXP 6/2027 • Lot #00926AA, EXP 1/2028
Consumers and retailers should not eat, sell, or distribute these capsules and should discard them. Surfaces that may have contacted the product should be cleaned and sanitized.
Symptoms of Salmonella infection typically include diarrhea, fever, and abdominal cramps within 12 to 72 hours of exposure. Young children, older adults, and people with weakened immune systems are at higher risk for severe illness.
FDA is conducting a traceback investigation and will update its advisory as new information becomes available.
