LELAND, NC — A 53-year-old Leland man is facing severe drug charges following his arrest by the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday evening.
Michael Watson, of Leland, was booked into the Brunswick County Detention Center on July 16, 2026, at approximately 6:27 p.m.
Authorities charged Watson with two counts of Trafficking in Methamphetamine.
In addition to the heavy felony trafficking charges, official records indicate Watson was also processed on an outstanding Failure to Appear charge.
He remains in custody at the county jail.
All individuals listed are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
