Two arrested after months‑long probe into drug activity in Myrtle Beach and Conway
Horry County, SC — A months‑long narcotics investigation by the Horry County Police Department led to the seizure of fentanyl, methamphetamine, marijuana, and eight illegally possessed firearms, including two equipped with illegal conversion devices during coordinated operations on May 5.
According to HCPD, detectives with the Narcotics Division began investigating suspected drug sales in the Myrtle Beach and Conway areas in December 2025. The case culminated last week when Street Crimes Units conducted multiple traffic stops and Special Operations Teams executed two search warrants at separate residences.
Investigators seized approximately 245 grams of fentanyl, 143 grams of methamphetamine, 103 grams of marijuana, cash, and eight firearms. Two of the guns were fitted with illegal “switches,” devices that convert a handgun into a fully automatic weapon.
Edmund Leviner and Kemondre Anderson were arrested and served with multiple warrants.
Charges for Edmund Leviner
- Trafficking methamphetamine or cocaine base (10–28 grams), 1st offense
- Trafficking fentanyl (28 grams or more)
- Manufacture/distribution of cocaine base, 1st offense
- Possession of a weapon during a violent crime
- Possession of a firearm or ammunition by a person convicted of certain crimes, 2nd offense
- Possession of contraband by a prisoner
- Probation and parole violation (outstanding warrant)
Charges for Kemondre Anderson
- Trafficking fentanyl (28 grams or more)
- Trafficking methamphetamine or cocaine base (28–100 grams), 3rd or subsequent offense — four counts
- Possession of a firearm or ammunition by a person convicted of certain crimes
- Unlawful possession or storage of a machine gun or sawed‑off firearm — two counts
- Possession of a weapon during a violent crime — two counts
- Driving under suspension
HCPD thanked all units involved in the operation, noting the case removed significant quantities of fentanyl, methamphetamine, and illegally modified firearms from the community.
