The Cooking Corner: Taco Seasoning

This week we will be treating you to something most people don’t think of doing.  We live in a world of convenience and sometimes people forget how easy it is to make something fresh at home.  We are all guilty of buying those taco seasoning packets.  Well now you can make it yourself without all the insane amount of salt and preservatives and who knows what other chemicals.  Bring your taco nights to a new level of flavor and save your health at the same time.  Traditionally this is perfect for ground beef but it is a very versatile spice.  This week I will show you the mix and next week I have a special chicken dish you can make with this spice mix. So if you like tacos but are worried about your sodium intake this is the perfect recipe for you as you can put as little or as much salt as you would like.  You can also add a little Cayan pepper if you want a little heat.
