HCFR crews average 228 calls per day across seven-shift period

More than 27,700 incidents recorded so far in 2026 as crews maintain countywide readiness

Horry County Fire Rescue responded to an average of 228 dispatched calls per day over the last seven 24‑hour shifts, covering Monday through Monday. The activity brings HCFR’s year‑to‑date total to more than 27,700 dispatched incidents for 2026.

Crews continue to operate at a high tempo, remaining trained, prepared, and ready to assist residents and visitors throughout Horry County. Community members are encouraged to contact Horry County 9-1-1 whenever emergency assistance is needed.
