Shallotte, NC — A proposal for a new 7‑Eleven convenience store and gas station has been submitted to the Brunswick County Planning Department, adding another potential project to the busy U.S. 17 corridor. If approved, the development would become Brunswick County’s sixth 7‑Eleven location.
Planning documents describe an 816 square foot 7‑Eleven positioned at the corner of US 17 and Cabrillo Road, located fairly near the newly opened Royal Farms. The site plan includes two access points, one from Cabrillo Road and another from US 17 along with 25 parking spaces and 12 fuel pumps proposed for the development.

A separate 7‑Eleven project has also been approved a few clicks up the road, at the intersection of 211 and Sunset Harbor Road. That proposal involves a larger store format and is unrelated to the newly filed Cabrillo Road plan, marking two distinct 7‑Eleven developments under consideration.
County staff are reviewing the Cabrillo Road submission as part of the standard development process.
