The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has announced a recall of several Food to Live brand green powder products that were distributed nationwide, including to consumers and businesses in North Carolina and South Carolina. The products may be contaminated with Salmonella. No illnesses have been reported.
The recall involves multiple green powder items sold online through foodtolive.com, foodinbulk.com, and other marketplaces.
Affected lots include SO‑72558 through SO‑79374, along with codes VFD/ORG/MORP/B/25, C25051312, and OSP251001.
Recalled products include: • Food to Live Wheatgrass Powder • Food to Live Organic Spirulina Powder • Food to Live Organic Algae Powder Mix • Food to Live Organic SuperGrass Powder
Package sizes range from small retail pouches to 55‑pound bulk cases. Lot codes and best‑before dates appear on the back of each package near the barcode.
The recall was initiated after an FDA test of an 8‑ounce package of Food to Live Organic Supergreens Mix (lot SO‑77820) returned a positive result for Salmonella. Production and distribution have been paused while the investigation continues.
Salmonella infections can be serious, especially for young children, older adults, and people with weakened immune systems. Symptoms may include fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain.
