Powerball Jackpot Rolls Over as Carolinas Continue Buying Online and In‑Person

Regional News — The Powerball jackpot has climbed to an estimated $1 billion after Monday night’s August 10 drawing produced no grand‑prize winner. Lottery officials confirmed that no ticket matched all six numbers, extending the jackpot into the next drawing, which will be held Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at 10:59 p.m. ET, as interest continues to surge across the Carolinas.

The winning numbers for the August 10 drawing were 6, 37, 54, 55, 64, and Powerball 10. The cash value for Wednesday’s $1 billion jackpot is estimated at $433.1 million before taxes.

The jackpot has now rolled 44 consecutive times since it was last won on May 2, marking one of the largest Powerball prizes of 2026. Ticket sales remain strong throughout Brunswick County, Columbus County, and Horry County as players purchase entries both online and in person.

North Carolina continues to offer digital ticket sales through the NC Education Lottery website and mobile app. The system verifies a player’s location before processing any online purchase, and digital tickets are stored within the player’s account.

South Carolina does not permit online lottery sales. All Powerball tickets must be purchased in person at participating retailers, including convenience stores, grocery stores, and fuel stations. Residency is not required in either state, and tickets may be purchased as long as the transaction occurs within a participating jurisdiction.

Powerball tickets cost two dollars per play, with the optional Power Play feature available for an additional dollar. Both states observe a cutoff time of approximately 9:59 p.m. on draw nights. Lottery officials encourage players to check their tickets promptly and follow state‑specific claim procedures as the jackpot continues to rise.

Officials also remind participants to play responsibly as the multi‑state jackpot moves into Wednesday’s drawing.
