HORRY COUNTY, SC –– As the investigation into the disappearance of Cyrena Anderson enters its fourth month, Horry County police continue to trace the movements of her husband, Danny Osborne, across Brunswick, Columbus and New Hanover counties during the period surrounding her disappearance.

Anderson, a Forestbrook resident, was last heard from on May 12. She did not report for work on May 14 and was officially reported missing on May 19. Detectives note that Osborne has provided limited cooperation and conflicting information as the multi-county investigation moves forward.

Osborne’s home is in Forestbrook, but investigators note his probation jurisdiction is anchored in New Hanover County. Records indicate Osborne had previously been held at the New Hanover Correctional Center on unrelated charges before being transferred to Brunswick County on July 9 and released from their custody on July 10. Under North Carolina Department of Adult Corrections terms established July 8, he is required to serve his probation in New Hanover County and is restricted from leaving the county without permission from a supervising officer. His movements outside that county in mid-May—including travel through Brunswick and Columbus counties—remain a central focus of the investigative timeline.

A spokesperson for the FBI’s Columbia field office confirmed that the agency has provided investigative support to Horry County police. No specifics were released.

Horry County police continue to request information from anyone who may have seen Anderson or Osborne between May 12 and May 19. Tips may be submitted through the department’s non‑emergency line at 843‑915‑5350 or through Crime Stoppers.

All individuals are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. Charges and case statuses may change as investigations continue.
