Multiple Arrests Made in Brunswick County Narcotics Investigations

Seven individuals face trafficking‑level drug charges following two days of enforcement operations.

Brunswick County, NC — A series of narcotics investigations on May 6 and May 7, 2026, led to the arrests of seven individuals on trafficking and related drug offenses, according to the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office.

On May 6, deputies arrested:

• Peter Matthew Raths, 52, of Greenbriar Road, Supply
• Janis Elizabeth Whittlesey, 55, of Hotshot Road, Little River, SC

Both were charged with:
• Trafficking in Methamphetamine (3 counts)
• PWIMSD Schedule II Controlled Substance
• Maintain Vehicle/Dwelling/Place for Controlled Substance
• Conspiracy to Traffic Methamphetamine
• Sell Schedule II Controlled Substance
• Possess Drug Paraphernalia

On May 7, deputies arrested:

Robert Wayne Powell, 51, of Green Swamp Road, Supply.

POWELL

His charges include:
• PWIMSD Schedule I Controlled Substance
• Maintain Vehicle/Dwelling/Place for Controlled Substance
• Trafficking in Fentanyl (2 counts)
• Felony Conspiracy
• Possess Drug Paraphernalia

Also on May 7, deputies arrested:

• Heather Ann Gray, 37, of Sussex Drive SW, Shallotte
• Cassey May Gray, 33, of Preacher Lane, Shallotte

Their charges include:
• PWIMSD Schedule I Controlled Substance
• Trafficking in Fentanyl (2 counts)
• Felony Conspiracy
• Possess Drug Paraphernalia
