Overnight Incident Leads to Extradition Holds for Fugitive in Boiling Spring Lakes

BOILING SPRING LAKES, NC — An early morning response by the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office resulted in the arrest of an out-of-state fugitive.

Damon Murray, 22, of Boiling Spring Lakes, was taken into custody and booked into the detention center at 3:51 a.m. on July 18, 2026.

Murray was processed on two counts of Extradition/Fugitive From Another State as authorities coordinate with outside jurisdictions.

He remains in custody.

All individuals listed are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
