A relaxed chance to meet local officers over a cup of coffee
Whiteville NC — The Whiteville Police Department will hold its next Coffee with a Cop event on Friday, March 27, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Starbucks, 1211 North J.K. Powell Boulevard.
The event offers a simple way for neighbors to connect with local officers outside a formal setting. There’s no agenda, just conversation over a cup of coffee.
Coffee with a Cop is designed to build trust and encourage open dialogue in a casual space. Whiteville residents can ask questions, share concerns, or learn more about day‑to‑day police work. Officers set aside distractions to focus solely on community conversation.
The program supports community‑oriented policing by helping both residents and officers better understand each other’s perspectives. Informal chats will often lead to stronger relationships and clearer communication.
