Whiteville Man Held Without Bond Following Larceny and Burglary Charges

WHITEVILLE, NC — A Whiteville man is in custody following a Wednesday night arrest involving burglary and theft.

Charles Jaechob Austin, 28, was arrested by the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office at 9:31 p.m. on August 5. Austin has been charged with felony larceny after breaking/entering and misdemeanor breaking or entering.

Austin is currently being held at the Columbus County Detention Center under a “No Bond” status as he awaits trial.

Any individuals listed are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
Charges and case statuses may change as investigations and court proceedings continue.
