APS Front Office Closed Friday & Saturday During Facility Upgrades
WHITEVILLE, NC — The Columbus County Sheriff’s Office Animal Protective Services front office will be closed to the public on Friday, July 24, 2026, and Saturday, July 25, 2026 as flooring improvements continue inside the facility.
Shelter operations will continue as normal and officers and staff will remain on duty. The front offices will be closed until the work is complete.
Animal Protective Services relies heavily on community support — from donated food and cleaning supplies to blankets, enrichment items, and other essentials that help care for animals daily. Those contributions make a meaningful difference, and the department says it is deeply appreciative of the community’s ongoing generosity. However, all donations, supplies, and other drop‑offs should be held until the front office reopens, so staff can safely receive and process items once the flooring work is finished.
The department appreciates the community’s patience and continued support during these upgrades, and anyone needing assistance may contact APS at 910,641.3945, email animal.services@columbussheriff.com, or call 9-1-1 for after‑hours emergencies.
