FDA RECALL: Fresh & Ready Foods LLC Recalls Spicy Breakfast Burrito

Limited recall issued after sausage found in products labeled vegetarian; no illnesses reported.

FDA RECALL:  Fresh & Ready Foods LLC has announced a recall of select Sprig & Sprout Spicy Breakfast Burrito and Fresh and Ready Spicy Breakfast Burrito products after confirming they may contain undeclared soy, a major food allergen. The company says the issue stems from sausage being inadvertently included in items labeled as vegetarian.

The recalled burritos were distributed to grab‑and‑go markets and vending machines in Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia.

According to the company, the recall applies only to products produced at the Charlotte facility between July 9 and July 12, 2026, carrying a Fresh Thru date of July 20, 2026. No other Fresh & Ready Foods LLC facilities or products are affected.

Recalled products include:

Sprig & Sprout Spicy Breakfast Burrito — 8.3 oz (234g) — UPC 1 00001 00029 7 — Fresh Thru 07/20/26 Fresh and Ready Spicy Breakfast Burrito — 8.2 oz (232g) — UPC 1 00001 00029 7 — Fresh Thru 07/20/26

The recall was initiated after two customer complaints reported the presence of sausage in a vegetarian‑labeled product. No illnesses or allergic reactions have been reported.

Consumers are urged not to eat the affected burritos and to discard them immediately. For refunds or questions, Fresh & Ready Foods may be contacted 1.855.424.8390 Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
