SUNSET BEACH, NC — The Sunset Beach Town Council has scheduled a pivotal budget meeting for Monday, April 13, 2026, beginning with an 8:00 a.m. closed session followed by the public meeting at 9:00 a.m. in Council Chambers.

The primary focus of the session will be updates to the Department Head Budget Presentations. These presentations were originally delivered on March 5, 2026, and serve as the foundation for the town’s upcoming fiscal year financial planning.

Priority Parking on the Table

In addition to budgetary matters, Council is slated to discuss the implementation of taxpayer priority parking. This issue has remained a point of high interest for local property owners looking for designated benefits or ease of access during the busy coastal tourism season.
