COLUMBUS COUNTY — County water customers in the section of District III are dealing with a service outage today as crews respond to emergency repairs.
According to Columbus County Public Water, residents on Waterfall Lane, Cascade Drive, and Misty Lane may experience discolored water and other service issues throughout the afternoon.
A boil water advisory for all affected customers is issued. Any water intended for drinking, cooking, or brushing teeth should be boiled for at least one minute through Wednesday.
County staff are on-site monitoring the situation and working to restore normal service. Residents noticing persistent discoloration are asked to contact the county at 910 770.2158
