Socastee Disturbance Near Palmetto Pointe Blvd Ends Peacefully; No Charges Expected

Horry County Police Department officers responded to a disturbance early Sunday morning in the Socastee community, on the 3900 block of Carnegie Avenue just off Palmetto Pointe Boulevard.

The call came in during the early hours of July 19, 2026. Because of the nature of the situation, several specialized units were brought in to assist. As a precaution, some nearby apartment units were briefly evacuated while officers worked to secure the area.

The incident ended peacefully, and no criminal charges are expected.
