CHADBOURN — A woman narrowly avoided injury when a rock was thrown through her bedroom window during a late‑night incident on Larry Drive, according to a report filed with the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office.
Moesha Gause told deputies she and Kendal Reynolds were inside a bedroom at 44 Larry Drive when they heard footsteps outside the home. Moments later, a loud bang was followed by the sound of breaking glass as a rock shattered the window and landed inside the room.
The rock “nearly struck her in the head,” the report said. No injuries were reported, and no suspect was identified at the time of the initial investigation.
Deputies documented the damage and collected statements from both individuals. The case is being treated as injury to personal property, and no arrests have been announced.
