Go Raw LLC is expanding its February 17, 2026, voluntary recall of a freeze-dried product to add two lots of select Quest Cat Food Chicken Recipe frozen products due to potentially low levels of thiamine (Vitamin B1).

The two lots of Quest Cat Food Chicken Recipe Frozen (MCD25350 BB 5/17/2027 and MCC25321 BB 6/16/2027) are sold in beige, zip-lock, 2lb packages and distributed nationwide.

The company has also decided to stop the sale of all Quest products at all retailers until the issue of thiamine content in the products is addressed.

Go Raw LLC has issued a voluntary recall of one lot of Quest Cat Food Chicken Recipe Freeze‑Dried Nuggets after testing showed the product may contain low levels of thiamine (Vitamin B1), an essential nutrient for cats. The recall applies only to 10‑ounce bags from Lot Code C25288 with a Best By date of October 15, 2027.

Thiamine is required for normal neurological and metabolic function in cats, and a diet low in thiamine over time can lead to deficiency. Early symptoms may include decreased appetite, salivation, vomiting, failure to grow, and weight loss. More advanced cases can involve neurological signs such as ventroflexion of the neck, mental dullness, vision changes, wobbly walking, circling, falling, or seizures. Thiamine deficiency is typically reversible with prompt veterinary care, and pet owners who notice any of these signs are urged to contact their veterinarian immediately.

The recalled lot was distributed to retail stores in Colorado, Utah, Washington, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Michigan, California, Texas, and Illinois.

North Carolina was not listed among the retail distribution states; however, the recall may still affect NC pet owners who purchased Quest products online, bought the food while traveling, or obtained it from a retailer that sources inventory across state lines. Because of online and interstate sales, the FDA classifies this as a national recall, and all consumers are advised to check their packaging.

The recalled product is sold in beige 10‑ounce zip‑lock bags with a purple stripe. The lot code and Best By date are printed on the front of the package. The UPC for the affected product is 6‑91730‑18103‑1.

Go Raw LLC has received one confirmed report of illness linked to this lot. The affected cat was treated by a veterinarian and has recovered. The recall was initiated after the treating veterinarian submitted product for testing, which showed thiamine levels below required amounts for a feline diet. The company conducted additional testing and confirmed the lot may not meet nutritional standards. Go Raw LLC reports that corrective actions have been implemented to prevent the issue from recurring.

Consumers who purchased the recalled product should stop feeding it immediately and return it to the place of purchase for a full refund. Questions may be directed to Go Raw LLC at cs@gorawllc.com or 801.432.7478, Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
