Novant Health Opens New Infusion Center in Shallotte to Expand Local Treatment Options

The new clinic offers IV therapies, chemotherapy and specialty infusions for patients across Brunswick and Columbus counties

SHALLOTTE, NC —  Novant Health has opened a new outpatient infusion center in Shallotte, expanding access to specialty treatments for patients across Brunswick and Columbus counties.

Novant Health Infusion Shallotte began serving patients on July 21. The clinic provides IV medication infusions for conditions including anemia, asthma, heart failure, inflammatory bowel disease, migraine, multiple sclerosis, osteoporosis and rheumatoid arthritis. Chemotherapy infusions are also available.

Kevin Briggs, president of Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center, said the new location reflects the system’s commitment to expanding care options close to home.

“We continue to invest in the facilities and services needed to support robust care throughout our growing community,” Briggs said. “We look forward to welcoming patients at our new location that is conveniently accessed from U.S. 17.”

The infusion center will operate from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. It is located at 512 Village Road, Suite 206, in Shallotte.

The opening comes as Novant Health pursues several additional projects aimed at expanding care throughout Brunswick County, including:

• A new ambulatory surgery center opening this summer in the Leland area to provide outpatient, more affordable surgical care.
• Expanded services at Brunswick Medical Center in Bolivia, including a larger MRI space and a cardiac catheterization lab that will allow patients to receive interventional cardiology procedures such as stent placements without leaving the county.
• The future 20-bed Novant Health Leland Medical Center, planned to serve the rapidly growing northern Brunswick County region.
• A future free-standing emergency department in Carolina Shores.
