Police say the driver was taken into custody shortly after 11:00 p.m.
OAK ISLAND, NC — John Wagoner, 30, was arrested on June 5 after Oak Island police conducted a late‑night traffic stop and charged him with driving while impaired. Officers booked Wagoner into the Brunswick County Detention Center shortly after 11:00 p.m.
Wagoner was released after a first appearance and is scheduled to return to court later this month.
All individuals listed are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. Charges and case statuses may change as investigations and court proceedings continue.
