Fayetteville Woman Arrested in Leland Domestic Violence Case

Police say the arrest followed an early‑morning disturbance involving a known party.

LELAND, NC — Police arrested Shenita Anderson, 36, on a misdemeanor domestic violence charge after responding to a disturbance early on June 7. Officers took Anderson into custody at 2:12 a.m. following what they described as a domestic incident involving a known party.

Domestic violence arrests are the most frequent calls for service in Leland and across Brunswick County. Anderson was booked into the county jail and held without bond pending a first appearance, as required under state law for domestic violence cases.

All individuals listed are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. Charges and case statuses may change as investigations and court proceedings continue.
