Kathy Batten Soles, age 67, of Whiteville passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare.
Kathy was born on August 5, 1958, to the late Samuel Batten and Lonnie Pait Batten. She was also preceded in death by siblings, Hattie Watts (Brady), Larry Batten, and Shirley Marshall.
Funeral service will be conducted on Saturday May 23, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Worthington Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Flynn Cemetery.
Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:00-10:45 a.m. in the Chapel.
Surviving family includes her husband, Terry Edgar Soles; children, Terri Soles Fields (Tommy Jr.), Jeremy Edgar Soles (Charlena), Kayla Livingston (Marcus), and Hunter Soles; grandchildren, Cody Fields (Whitney), Thomas Fields (Kasey), Tyler Jones, Madison Buffkin (Allen); siblings, Sandra Berdeaux (David), Sammy Batten (Louise), and Willie Batten
