County officials seek community members to help ensure a smooth and fair Election Day experience.
CONWAY, NC — Horry County Voters Registration and Elections is seeking poll managers to serve during the county’s upcoming elections, offering residents a paid opportunity to support the voting process and help ensure Election Day runs smoothly for all voters.
Poll managers are responsible for greeting voters, assisting with check‑in, maintaining order inside the polling place, and helping uphold South Carolina’s election procedures. County officials say the role is essential to keeping precincts running efficiently and ensuring every voter has a positive experience.
To serve as a poll manager in South Carolina, applicants must meet several statewide requirements:
Poll managers, except assistants must be registered to vote in South Carolina and be available to work the entire Election Day. Poll managers must remain nonpartisan and committed to serving all voters fairly. Ages 16–17 may apply to serve as poll manager assistants.
Horry County Elections notes that the position is paid and provides training ahead of Election Day. Officials emphasize that serving as a poll manager is a meaningful way to contribute to the community and support neighbors as they cast their ballots.
