January 5, 2026 – FOCUS Broadband is alerting customers to a phone scam targeting its subscribers. According to a press release issued today, individuals are receiving unsolicited calls from scammers falsely claiming to represent Spectrum and alleging a connection to FOCUS Broadband.

“These callers are not affiliated with FOCUS Broadband,” the company stated. “Their goal is to obtain account information, which may then be used to cancel or transfer service to another provider without the customer’s consent.”

FOCUS emphasized that legitimate calls from the company will always originate from the 910 area code, specifically with Brunswick County prefixes 754 or 755. The company does not use toll-free numbers for outbound calls.

“We will never tell you that you must switch to another internet provider,” the release continued. “We will never ask for personal or account information through unsolicited calls. And we do not partner with Spectrum to provide internet service.”

Customers who receive suspicious calls are advised to hang up immediately. Verified contact numbers for FOCUS Broadband are available on their website at focusbroadband.com. For questions or concerns, customers can call 888-367-2862 or 910-754-4311.
