FDA RECALL: Albright’s Raw Pet Food has issued a voluntary recall for one lot of its Chicken Recipe for Dogs Complete and Balanced after FDA testing detected Salmonella. The recalled product is sold as frozen 1 lb. bricks in clear vacuum packaging, typically in 30‑lb. cases.

The lot was distributed directly to consumers nationwide and to select retailers in North Carolina, South Carolina, Massachusetts, California, Wisconsin, and New York. No illnesses have been reported.
Salmonella can cause serious illness in pets and humans. Symptoms may include vomiting, diarrhea, fever, and abdominal pain. People can become infected through handling contaminated food or contact with exposed pets.
