Volunteer firefighters continue a long tradition of community protection across Bladen County
Bladen County, NC — The Bladenboro Fire Department, a long‑standing volunteer agency serving Bladen County, operates from its 9,996 square foot station on West Seaboard Street and fields roughly 45 volunteers who answer about 350 calls a year with an average 3‑minute response time.
The departments mix of engines, tankers, and brush units supports both town and rural coverage, and its community‑focused identity continues through partnerships such as its current effort with the American Red Cross to provide free smoke alarms and installation for local residents.
In partnership with the American Red Cross, the Bladenboro Fire Department now has smoke alarms available at no charge. Residents may schedule installation by contacting Wanda Coleman at 910.872.4469
