Students gather supplies to support animals in the care of Columbus County Sheriff’s APS.
WHITEVILLE, NC — Columbus County Sheriff’s Office Animal Protective Services (CCSO APS) is extending heartfelt appreciation to the National Honor Society at Whiteville High School after students organized and delivered a generous collection of donations for the shelter’s animals.
Staff said the contribution arrived at a perfect time, bringing in treats, food, comfort items, and essential supplies that will directly support dogs and cats currently awaiting adoption. The shelter noted that the students’ efforts will help keep the cats and dogs well cared for in the weeks ahead.
The kindness and compassion shines brightly, earning Jena and the National Honor Society at Whiteville High School, the recognition as a BC News Community Hero.
