Ann Theresa Politi, 83, passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2026. Born on July 6, 1943, in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Gennaro and Antionette Marrapisa Siconolfi.
Theresa was the beloved wife of 61 years to Anthony F. Politi. They were married in Brooklyn, NY, where they lived until moving to Long Island. Following Anthony’s retirement in 1994, they moved to Little River, SC where Theresa joined Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church. She became an active member of Ladies Guild as well as volunteering in numerous other capacities within the church. Theresa was a member of the VFW’s Women’s Auxiliary. She was an avid bowler, enjoyed playing Mojang and cards with her friends. She and Anthony loved traveling and spending time together with their family. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be greatly missed.
Surviving in addition to her husband, Anthony, are her son, Anthony Politi (Lynn); a daughter, Jo Ann Bruford (Johnathan); and her granddaughters, Ella and Cassidy Bruford. Her God Daughter, MaryAnn Saltlamachea, also survives her. Theresa is preceded in death by her brother, Rocco Siconolfo.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at Lee Funeral Home and Crematory. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church with entombment to follow in Southern Palms Memorial Gardens.
