SPRING LAKE, NC — A Spring Lake man was booked into the local detention center following a domestic disturbance investigation handled by county deputies.
Michael Carter Jr., 40, was arrested by the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office on the evening of July 15, 2026, at 6:28 p.m.
He was officially charged with Assault by Strangulation.
Carter was processed at the Brunswick County Detention Center and held until his official release on July 17.
All individuals listed are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
