Gospel Fest Returns for America’s 250th Celebration

SOUTHPORT, NC — Gospel Fest is back for the celebration of America’s 250th, bringing an evening of uplifting music, faith, and community to the NC 4th of July Festival. The free outdoor event begins Friday, June 28, at 5:00 p.m. in Franklin Square Park.

Hosted by Madison Drew, this year’s Gospel Fest features performances from two beloved names in gospel music: The Singing Kellys, known for their rich harmonies and long-standing ministry, and acclaimed vocalist Angela Primm, whose powerful voice and spirited delivery have earned national recognition.

Set beneath the oaks in one of Southport’s most iconic gathering spaces, the evening invites families, friends, and festival‑goers to celebrate unity, heritage, and the spirit of “We the People.” Guests are welcome to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and a picnic supper as we gather for an evening of music under the oaks.

Gospel Fest is free and open to the public as part of the NC 4th of July Festival’s 250th‑anniversary programming.
