WHITEVILLE — Deputies responded to Pleasant Hill Drive on June 21, where a domestic disturbance resulted in both parties being charged. Kethan Lee Williamson, 27, was charged with Assault on a Female and Misdemeanor Crime of Domestic Violence.
Heaven Sunshine Benton, 28, was charged separately with Simple Assault. Both were booked into the Columbus County Detention Center within hours of the incident. The incident report lists mutual injuries and confirms both were released the next day.
All individuals listed are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
