WHITEVILLE NC — The Whiteville Police Department handled 238 calls for service during the week of August 10, according to a weekly update released Monday. Officers took 30 reports, investigated 11 motor vehicle collisions, and made 10 arrests.
The department highlighted Deputy Chief Jackson in this week’s post, noting his leadership, mentorship, and commitment to the agency. Jackson has served as one of the department’s key supervisors and is credited with helping guide younger officers through training and daily operations.
Upcoming community events include a Wellness Health Fair scheduled for September 11 from 1 to 4 p.m. at Vineland Depot, and the city’s annual Halloween event on October 30 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the City Hall parking lot.
