CLARKTON, NC — Columbus Regional Healthcare System and the Columbus County Partnership for Children (Smart Start) will host the End of Summer Health Festival on Saturday, August 29, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the George Henry White Memorial Health & Education Center, 731 Farmers Union Road.
The event will feature free health screenings, healthcare vendors, bike raffles, food trucks, Kona Ice, and music from a DJ, offering a lively mix of wellness and community celebration as summer winds down.
Organizers say the festival aims to connect families with local health resources while encouraging preventive care and healthy living. Attendees can enjoy refreshments, entertainment, and giveaways while learning about services available throughout Columbus County.
The George Henry White Center, named for the pioneering North Carolina congressman and educator, continues to serve as a hub for community engagement and health education.
