WHITEVILLE MAN HELD WITHOUT BOND FOLLOWING SERIOUS DEADLY WEAPON ASSAULT

Whiteville NC — A local man remains behind bars following a violent encounter that left a victim with serious injuries on Tuesday evening.

The Columbus County Sheriff’s Office executed the arrest of 50-year-old Danny Paul Price at his home on Slippery Log Road in Whiteville at approximately 7:08 PM on July 14.

Price is accused of assaulting an individual with a weapon, resulting in severe physical trauma. Due to the severe nature of the offense, Price was charged with Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury (AWDW).

Following his booking at the Columbus County Detention Center, a magistrate ordered Price to be held with no bond, keeping him in custody pending his initial court appearance.

All individuals listed are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
