Boil water once service is restored

LAKE WACCAMAW, NC — The evening of March 23, a water line was damaged during ongoing construction, disrupting service for residents along Canal Cove Road, Weaver Drive, Waccamaw Shores Road, and the Wooded Acres area.

Utility crews are on site and working to restore service as quickly as possible. Once water is back on, residents are advised to boil all water before drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, washing food, or making ice.

The precaution will remain in place until further notice. Officials say updates will be provided as repair work continues.
