WHITEVILLE, NC – Whiteville Police have issued warrants for Assault with a Deadly Weapon following a violent incident at Whiteville’s local Taco Bell on S. JK Powell Boulevard. The assaulted occurred on Saturday, April 18, 2026.
The suspect targeted employee Michael Eugene Lennon, 30, following a prior dispute on social media. After identifying Lennon at the drive-thru window, the suspect backed up his vehicle and assaulted him through the window opening.
Lennon sustained a head laceration but declined hospital transport after being treated by EMS. The suspect fled the scene and remains at large. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Whiteville Police Department at 910.642.5111
