CRCI has extended its warming facilities to 24 hours providing space for individuals and families to seek shelter and services throughout the day and overnight.
Brunswick County, NC — Christian Recovery Centers Inc. warming facilities are open every night when temperatures are below 40°F. Our region is experiencing a stretch of unseasonably cold weather, with forecasters noting the strong possibility of a measurable snow Saturday into Sunday.

Shelter Locations
– Rose House (Women) located at 545 Hickman Rd NW, Calabash
– Grant’s Harbor (Men) location at 520 Mulberry St, Shallotte
– Bryant’s Orchard (Families) located at 433 Tarkln Ct NW, Shallotte
Requirements
Guests are asked to arrive sober, and be able to move independently.
No weapons, illicit substances, or tobacco products are allowed at any of the shelters; nicotine‑replacement options are available for those who need them.

As temperatures continue to run far below seasonal norms – and with winter weather possible this weekend – residents are encouraged to utilize available warming options. While onsite, guests can also learn about long‑term housing stability.
No additional churches, fire departments, or community facilities have been publicly announced as warming sites as of publication.
