Two Calls Hours Apart Keep Supply Fire Department Crews Moving

Firefighters responded to a late‑night crash on July 12 and a vehicle fire early July 13

SUPPLY, NC —  Supply Fire Department handled two separate incidents within a seven‑hour span, beginning with a single‑vehicle crash late Friday night.

Just before midnight on July 12, Heavy Rescue 13 and Engine 1 were dispatched to after a vehicle struck a deer and then a tree. The driver was already out of the vehicle and was not injured. Crews cleared the scene shortly afterward.

At 7:15 a.m. on July 13, firefighters were alerted to a working vehicle fire behind the Bojangles in Supply. Engine 1 arrived to find the engine compartment fully involved. Crews quickly extinguished the fire, and the driver was out upon arrival.

Units returned to service after completing overhaul.
