Horry County, SC — A vehicle fire blocked Myrtle Beach‑bound lanes of Highway 22, just east of Highway 905, earlier this evening has since been cleared. The incident occurred shortly after 6:00 p.m. on May 22, and all lanes have been reopened.
Firefighters arrived to find the vehicle with flames showing. The fire was brought under control and fully extinguished. One person was evaluated for possible injuries on scene but declined transport. The vehicle involved sustained heavy fire damage.
Horry County Fire Rescue responded, and South Carolina Highway Patrol assisted.
