Traffic Stop in Cerro Gordo Yields Drug Paraphernalia Charges

CERRO GORDO, NC — A traffic stop on Andrew Jackson Highway SW led to drug paraphernalia charges on Wednesday afternoon.

At approximately 1:24 p.m. on August 5, Deputy Travis E. Tyson conducted an investigation along the 6300 block of 6346 Andrew Jackson Highway SW. During the incident, officers seized a Toyota Tacoma, two smoking pipes, three cut bags, a roach clip, and a small quantity (0.01 grams) of burnt marijuana.

A 41-year-old male suspect was cited in connection with the misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia charge (Incident 26-1752).
