Right‑lane closures scheduled today and tomorrow for deck repairs

LELAND/WILMINGTON, NC — The right lane of US 17 North across the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge will be closed today from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. as crews repair a portion of the bridge deck.
A second closure is scheduled for tomorrow, August 13 when the right lane of US 17 South will be closed during the same 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. window.
Drivers should expect slower travel times in both directions and use caution when approaching the work zone.
Transportation officials advise checking DriveNC.gov for real‑time updates and any changes to the repair schedule.
